Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak is preparing to play the role of a midnight wedding officiant.
He’ll preside over 42 same-sex weddings beginning at midnight next Thursday, which is the first day same-sex couples will be allowed to get married in Minnesota.
The weddings will take place in the City Hall Rotunda.
Hennepin County judges will marry an additional 21 same-sex couples starting at 1 a.m.
