Police Continue Search for Suspects in Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park Assaults

Police have issued a safety alert in Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center after two women were sexually assaulted in separate incidents during home break-ins.

The first incident happened around 6:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at a home on the 9600 block of Linden Lane, according to police. Two men broke into the home, and one of the suspects assaulted the woman. Both men then left the scene.

The primary suspect is described as a clean shaven black male, approximately 5'06", in his 30's with a thin but muscular build.

Brooklyn Center police responded to the second incident around 7:23 a.m. Thursday on the 7200 block of Girard Ave. N. It's unclear if a second suspect was involved in the incident. The primary suspect in this incident is described as a medium to dark skinned black male in his 30's between 5'06" and 6 feet tall. He is clean shaven with crooked teeth, a wide nose and husky build.

Police have received several tips after releasing the sketch, but have yet to make an arrest.

The Brooklyn Center Crime Prevention Board is offering a reward up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this suspect.

Investigators from Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center police are investigating the cases and believe both are linked. Police are seeking the public's help with the cases. Anyone with information about the incidents can call 911.
