One of Hennepin County’s 'Top Ten Most Wanted' has been arrested in Chicago, Illinois.
On Friday, 31-year-old Devon McFerrin of Minneapolis was stopped by Chicago Police as he was driving. He gave police a fake name and he was later fingerprinted. Once his identity was confirmed, he was booked into the Cook County jail.
McFerrin was wanted in Hennepin County on a warrant for Third Degree Murder after he sold heroin to a man who later died from an overdose, according to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office.
“The Sheriff’s Office works in partnership with law enforcement agencies nationwide to locate and arrest wanted individuals,” said Hennepin County Sheriff Rich Stanek, “This case is a reminder that we need your information about wanted fugitives even if you believe that they have fled to another state.”
