Community members can visit the newly-renovated Tom Kelly Field in Maplewood at a dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday.

The Minnesota Twins Community Fund offered a grant to renovate the field in honor of Former Twins Manager Tom Kelly’s number retirement. A Minnesota Twins spokesperson said the field is near Kelly’s home.

The field now has covered dugouts and a larger infield area, outfield area and pitcher’s mound.

The ceremony takes place at 5 p.m. Thursday at 2001 Edgerton St. N. in Maplewood.

Kelly, Twins President Dave St. Peter, Maplewood Mayor Will Rossbach, and Maplewood Athletic Association President Erv Carlson are expected to be in attendance.
