Minnesotans have been helping 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS raise money for our Summer Harvest for Kids campaign.
We have teamed up with local leaders in hunger relief to make sure kids, who are on free or reduced lunch during the school year, are getting meals during the summer months.
Now that kids are heading back to school, we are wrapping up the campaign by thanking those who have helped.
Executive development officer of 'Hope for the City,' Quenton Marty, spoke with KSTP about this year's campaign. Watch an interview with him in the video box above.
The campaign was able to provide 72,000 meals to kids in our community with a total amount raised of $72,071.
