Mall of America will turn into a disaster-preparedness zone Friday.
Allstate and Hands-on Twin Cities are setting up an area in the Sears Court where people can make disaster kits and then take them home. The kits include hand-crank flashlights, dust masks and more.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency says 85 percent of Americans are not ready for potential disasters.
You can build a kit starting at 11 a.m. until supplies last. For more information, click here.
