A community in Canada is rallying around a family that received an extremely offensive letter targeting a boy with autism.
The letter claims to be from a mother in the neighborhood who says 13-year-old Max makes a noise when he’s outside that scares her “normal children.”
The anonymous letter even goes as far to say Max should be euthanized. Max’s grandmother was the first to open the letter when it showed up in the mailbox Friday.
“By the time I got to the end, it got so bad that I was shaking, and I was shaking and crying at the same time,” Brenda Millson said.
The family reported the letter to police. It was posted on social media, prompting messages of outrage against the author.
Since then, the family says hundreds of people have stopped by the home to show support.
