A "suspicious" death investigation is under way at a duplex in Shorewood.

The case involves a man who was reported missing from his home, according to the South Lake Minnetonka Police Department. Police searched the duplex on Wood Duck Circle in connection with the missing person and found a man's body Wednesday.

Authorities are now calling the death "suspicious in nature."

A person of interest is being held in the disappearance of the missing person, but police would not comment on who that person is or what their relation is to the deceased man.

According to neighbors, a couple and three children live in the house that's under investigation. On Thursday, Aug. 22, a police squad car remained at the scene and police tape surrounded the home. A search warrant has been executed at the home.

Inside the home, police found the man's body. Neighbors said police recently were knocking on doors asking about the missing man. Police were asking if anyone knew the man because he was supposed to be in court in Chicago and never showed up.

According to property records, Jetaun Helen Wheeler also lives at the home. Wheeler was convicted in 2008 for drunken driving in St. Louis County, according to criminal records.

Wheeler, 29, of Shorewood, was arrested Thursday by South Lake Minnetonka Police Department for suspicion of murder, according to Hennepin County Sheriff's Office jail records.

As of Thursday, she was being held without bail.

Police did not confirm that Wheeler is the person of interest in the case.

At this point, police were not releasing additional details.
