This year pigs at the Minnesota State Fair have something special keeping them cool and helping beat the heat.
This year the fair added new exhaust fans to better move hot air out of the swine barn. They tested the fans before the fair by using smoke bombs in the barn. At a cost of $200,000, the system will keep pigs and people cooler.
Next year the fair is considering adding the fan exhaust system to the sheep barn.
