Tutor Shortage Impacts Homeless Children

The transition from summer to the start of school is one of the busiest times of the year for People Serving People, or PSP, a shelter housing homeless families.
PSP says it is in desperate need of volunteer tutors willing to donate their time to tutoring.
The tutoring program relies on 17 volunteer tutors each weekday and says the one-on-one attention increases student performance in school.
PSP says volunteers do not need to be experts in math or chemistry. They must simply have a desire to improve the lives of the children they tutor.
Volunteers are needed for Thursday nights. You can learn more by clicking here.
