New details about the teacher fired by Benilde-St. Margaret's this week for "inappropriate communications" with students. KSTP's Joy Lim Nakrin talked with one teenage girl he photographed.

Eighteen-year-old Maggie Dickey of Vadnais Heights is an aspiring model who says she connected with former engineering teacher Jon Hickman on website ModelMayhem.com.

She was not a student at Benilde-St. Margaret's. She tells KSTP that Hickman photographed her for her modeling portfolio. Of their communications she said, "I'd pretty much just call him, he'd call me. It was mostly Facebook pretty much. But if neither of us were on Facebook we'd text each other."

Of Hickman's behavior on photo shoots, Dickey said "he was really just very respectable. He did everything very professional, and didn't want to make things awkward."

In a letter sent home to parents about Hickman's dismissal this week, school officials mentioned "senior photographs" and "artistic modeling photographs."

Dickey tells KSTP that Hickman photographed her in a swimsuit. His Facebook page also features a young woman in a swimsuit. Dickey's mother Jody Dickey tells KSTP, "its pretty natural for young people to wear a swimsuit. I don't think its anything unusual."

KSTP employees checked with the Department of Education and learned Hickman does not have a teaching license, though one is not required for private school teachers.

Saint Louis Park Police say they are investigating whether there was any criminal conduct.
