Trader Joe's is ending health benefits for part-time workers in 2013.

Employees working less than 30 hours a week will no longer be given health coverage. So instead they'll be directed to new insurance marketplaces as part of the Affordable Care Act.

They'll get $500 to help them buy new insurance.

The grocer has seven Twin Cities locations.
