A jury has been selected for the murder trial of a St. Paul man accused of killing his wife.
Thirty-nine-year-old Jeffery Trevino is charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the death of his wife, Kira Steger.
Steger disappeared in February. Her body was pulled from the Mississippi River more than two months later.
Family members say Steger was trying to leave Trevino when she was killed. Authorities say "copious amounts" of blood were found in the couple's home.
Jury selection wrapped up Wednesday afternoon. There are 12 jurors and two alternates. The jury includes eight men and six women.
The trial is expected to last two to three weeks. Opening statements will begin Thursday.
