Crews on Monday began dismantling the western Wisconsin house where a father killed his three young daughters last year.
The River Falls home will be taken apart piece by piece over 10 days and the materials will be donated to the St. Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity.
Affinity Plus Credit Union will sell the land and proceeds will help build a River Falls playground in memory of 11-year-old Amara, 8-year-old Sophie, and 5-year-old Cecilia Schaffhausen.
The girls' father, Aaron Schaffhausen, is currently serving life in prison for their murders.
