Three projects are changing the face of downtown Minneapolis.

A transit hub near Target Field, connecting downtown to the west metro, is expected to open next summer. Mall of America Field, commonly called the Metrodome, will be demolished for a new Minnesota Vikings stadium, which is expected to replace the facility in 2016. Finally, Nicollet Mall is getting a makeover. The renovation is expected to be complete in three years.

The city's intention is for all three projects to have a cohesive look. Tom Fisher, Dean of the U of M College of Art and Design visited KSTP to talk more about the projects.
