A man - named one of Hennepin County's Top 10 Most Wanted - has been arrested in Illinois.

Leo Richard McGarry, 52, was wanted on a warrant in connection with a 2012 drunken-driving incident in Bloomington, according to the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office.

McGarry has had multiple DWI convictions and arrests in three different states, the sheriff's office reported. He's been booked in the Hennepin County Jail more than a dozen times.

McGarry was arrested Sept. 16 on suspicion of drunk driving in Sycamore, Ill., following a vehicle crash, authorities reported. He was booked into the DeKalb County Jail. After the arrest, authorities determined that he was wanted on an active Hennepin County warrant.
"Drunk drivers who are repeat offenders clearly demonstrate that they have a complete lack of regard for the safety of other drivers and they have no place on our roadways," said Hennepin County Sheriff Rich Stanek in a statement.

"If you see an impaired driver, call 911 immediately and if you know the whereabouts of someone with an active warrant for DWI, call 911 or local law enforcement."
