St. Raphael Catholic School in Crystal says demand from special needs students is increasing.

The school's mission is to never turn away a special needs student. But it's concerned about equipping the school and its teachers with the tools necessary to properly teach and help special needs students. It's why the school has partnered with Eric Genuis.

Genuis is a world renowned composer who heard about the school's mission and agreed to hold a benefit concert this Wednesday in Crystal.

Proceeds from the concert will help provide teachers with the specialized training necessary to teach special needs students.

The concerts, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday, are at the Church of St. Raphael in Crystal. Anyone interested in attending can buy tickets the day of the concert or online here.
