For the second time in his life, 25-year-old Mark Mann is taking his first steps. This time, those steps are with custom-fit prosthetic legs.

"The first steps were very robotic," he said. "It's as if I'm in really tight ski boots."

Mann lost both his legs below the knee back in June after a jet ski accident in Balsam Lake, Wis. Now, he's working with a physical therapist to relearn everything from climbing a flight of stairs to driving a car.

He says he will probably be cast and refit for two or three new sets of legs throughout the year as his legs and his sockets change size.

"I'm young. I want to be the poster boy for what you can do. I want to push the limits on it and give other people hope," Mann said.

A fund has been set up to help the Mann family with medical bills, click here for information on how to help.
