The Met Council is expected to vote this week on the Southwest Light Rail Transit line. Before it does, council members will meet Monday to hash out the details.

There’s controversy surrounding a $160 million one-mile stretch of the light rail that would run through Minneapolis’s Kenilworth Corridor. It calls for tunnels to be built.

If the full Met Council votes “yes,” Hennepin County and five other cities still have to approve it. If those groups vote “no,” the Met Council says it will keep trying to find common ground.
