There’s a new idea on how to save the Minnesota Orchestra.
DFL State Representative Phyllis Kahn says she will introduce a bill to establish community ownership of the orchestra. She says it would be like the Green Bay Packer model where citizens would be able to buy stake in the orchestra.
However, none of this would happen soon. The Legislature doesn’t reconvene until February.
The orchestra lockout has dragged on for more than a year now.
