United Airlines says there was a glitch that allowed customers to manipulate their website.

In a statement, the airline says customers were setting up award reservations and booking flights without enough miles. United says they won't be honoring those tickets.

The news site Mashable said it was able to reserve a round trip flight from Newark, N.J., to Dublin for just under $50.
