A long time favorite festival is making a comeback in the Twin Cities this summer. A Taste of Minnesota will return to St. Paul in 2014.
The festival started back in 1986 and was very popular through about 2008. Then management changed and the managers of the 2010 festival ended up filing for bankruptcy. The festival came to an end.
Now the original managers are taking on the challenge and bringing it back. Linda Maddox's late husband, Ron, founded the event. “We are thrilled to be back at work doing what we do best,” said Linda Maddox, general manager of A Taste of Minnesota. “I am reunited with a wonderful team with a history of running a successful event for Minnesotans. We plan on having the festival in St. Paul for years.”
Next year's event will run from July 3-6 at Harriet Island in St. Paul. The event will feature Minnesota food, live music and one of the best fireworks displays in the state.
