The Minnesota State Patrol was called to the Stillwater Lift Bridge Friday morning after a semi truck loaded with hay lost some of its load.
The load was apparently too high for the clearance of just over 13 feet, toppling them out of the eastbound truck they were on around 4 a.m. The truck was coming from Manitoba, Canada, and was headed for Wisconsin.
Workers from the Minnesota Department of Transportation cleared the hay off the bridge and inspected the bridge for structural damage.
The bridge was reopened by 5:30 a.m.
