Three people have been charged with murder in connection to the death of a 31-year-old man in West St. Paul.
Donovan Michael Diego, Christino Andres Rosario, and Malik Jamal Alize Farmer, all of St. Paul, have been charged with both first and second degree murder for the death of Luis David Reyes-Galvan on Jan. 11. At the time of the murder, Diego was 18, Rosario was 16, and Farmer was 17.
According to the criminal complaints, the three suspects planned on burglarizing the victim’s West St. Paul home that evening. They allegedly stole guns from a different West St. Paul home the previous day and used them in the Jan. 11 crime.
Police say the suspects waited in a vehicle near Reyes-Galvan’s home until he returned with his 10-year-old daughter and 12-year-old nephew.
The children went inside, and Reyes-Galvan allegedly confronted the suspects. Several gunshots were heard, and police were called.
Reyes-Galvan was pronounced dead at Regions Hospital in St. Paul after a bullet entered his left shoulder and exited from the right side of his chest.
