The Minnesota Twins announced Tuesday they’ve added Paul Molitor to the major league coaching staff.
Molitor, who last coached in 2004 with the Seattle Mariners, will oversee base running, bunting, infield instruction and position, and help with strategy from the dugout, Twins management said.
A Minnesota native, Molitor was a 1974 graduate of Cretin High School in St. Paul and attended the University of Minnesota. He is a seven-time All-Star and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2004.
He is one of just six players in Major League Baseball history to record at least 3,000 hits and 500 stolen bases in a career.
