Earlier this month, Jeffery Trevino was convicted of killing his wife, Kira Steger. Domestic violence is suspected in the deaths of Anarae Schunk, Danielle Jelinek and Mandy Matula.
Police and local groups are calling for people to come together to end domestic violence.
Bree Adams Bill, an advocate for women, joined KSTP's Megan Newquist in studio to talk about how we might respond to an alarming statistic: one in three women will experience physical violence (rape or stalking by a partner) in their lifetime.
