The weekend is nearly upon us and there are plenty of events happening in the Twin Cities. Bradley Traynor from MY TALK 107.1 joined Rusty Gatenby in-studio to talk about some of the highlights. This week: Day of the Dead, zombies and 'Fraidy Cats'
Even though Dia De Los Muertos isn't until Nov. 1, the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul will host a celebration of the traditional Mexican holiday a few days early on Saturday. A full agenda of Day of the Dead events including music, dancing and traditional food demonstrations are free with the price of museum admission and starts at noon.
The Historic Mounds Theatre brings the now classic 1968 zombie horror film "Night of the Living Dead" back to life with the "Resurrection" experience. For three weekends starting Saturday and Sunday and running through Nov. 8-10, be part of the zombie action. Tickets are available online.
For those who aren't quite up for the full Soap Factory Haunted Basement experience, but still want to get a glimpse of all the frights, head to the lights-on, 'Fraidy Cat' tours on Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon. Tickets are $10 at the door.
