If you want to make sure you fit into your Halloween costume next week, here’s a way to test it out and get some exercise: the Monster Dash Half-Marathon, 10-Mile and 5K races are happening in St. Paul Saturday, and costumes are encouraged.

The race starts at the Cathedral of St. Paul, runs down Summit Avenue along the river, and ends near Upper Landing Park.

Runners and walkers will also be chasing away fear with the Halloween Fearless 5K Saturday around Como Lake in St. Paul.

It starts at 9 a.m. and focuses on healthy living and being brave in the face of health challenges.
