One of the best amputee long drivers in the country is from Minnesota, and he goes to Augsburg College.
His name is Tim Herrmann and he’s from the small town of Belle Plaine. He's been golfing since the age of 4 and is on the Augsburg College golf team.
He's not letting his birth defect, that caused him to be a below-the-knee amputee, hold him back.
This week Herrmann is competing in Nevada in the Amputee Long-Drive Championship. He can hit the golf ball more than 300 yards.
He got involved in amputee golf tournaments in 2009 playing in the National Championships in New Hampshire.
Herrmann isn't holding back on the academic side either, he is a double major in finance and economics.
Last year the winner at the Amputee Long-Drive Championship hit the ball 389 yards.
