Nearly 60 high school and college ROTC units prepared the Metrodome for a 50,000-card stunt that fans will orchestrate Thursday before the Minnesota Vikings take on the Washington Redskins.
The cards will spell out "Thank You Military" and "Thank You Veterans" in the stadium as part of a Vikings, USAA and NFL "Salute to Service."
Fans will display the cards in a show of support for all branches of the military and all personnel serving the United States.
Cadets will receive donations to morale funds, which are used for military balls or trips, and 20 of the workers will be selected to serve as card holders during the game.
