City leaders and lawmakers met Wednesday to talk again about the Southwest Light Rail Line.
The project was postponed last month. Minneapolis residents are worried about the environmental impact of a proposed route through the Kenilworth Corridor and want to look again at moving freight lines.
St. Louis Park residents are concerned about re-routing freight trains in their neighborhoods.
Wednesday, Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak said future ideas on the project need to be discussed carefully.
There is still no timeline for when the project will move forward, but a vote on the final route has been postponed at least three months.
