Minn. Firearms Deer Season Opener Weather Forecast

Meteorologist Patrick Hammer is forecasting cool and breezy conditions for the start of Minnesota's firearms deer season Saturday.

Temperatures will be about 30 degrees when the sun rises at 7:01 a.m. and will approach 40 degrees by sunset at 4:52 p.m.

A breeze will develop in the morning, and winds may gust to 30 mph in the afternoon. Winds will be out of the west and southwest.

Hammer says northern and northeastern Minnesota could see 1 to 3 inches of snow Friday night into early Saturday morning.
