"The Land of 10,000 Lakes" is turning into the land of 10,000 robots. The Twin Cities are becoming a hub for robotics.
The growth was on display Wednesday at the Robotics Alley Conference and Expo in Saint Paul.
Robots on display showed how the machines are not only helping lives, but actually saving them.
Organizers say robotics is a thriving industry in the Twin Cities and the future looks bright.
Robotics is also growing fast as a state sanctioned high school sport.
This year there are 180 robotics teams, that's compared to 156 boys' varsity hockey teams.
