Wild Recall Kuemper, Reassign Gustafsson

The Minnesota Wild have recalled Darcy Kuemper from the Iowa Wild and reassigned Johan Gustafsson to Iowa.

Kuemper, 23, has played one game with Minnesota this season. On Oct. 15 at Toronto, he allowed three goals in 32:22 minutes of action. Kuemper was 2-1-0 in six games (three starts) with the Iowa Wild Last season. He had 2.88 goals-against average (GAA) and a 9.16 save percentage (SV%). He also appeared in two NHL playoff games in relief and stopped 29-of-33 shots. Kuemper, a 6-foot-5, 205 pound native of Saskatoon, Sask., was the sixth-round pick for Minnesota in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Gustafsson, 21, has not appeared in any games with Minnesota this season. He is 3-1-0 with a 2.45 GAA, a .920 SV% and one shut out this season. He was recalled on Nov. 15.
