Parise Will Not Play for Wild Tonight

Zach Parise will not dress for Wednesday's game against Phoenix, according to Wild Coach Mike Yeo.

According to KSTP's Darren Wolfson, the left wing participated in the morning skate at the Xcel Energy Center. The announcement took place in a press conference after the skate.

Parise took a shot off his left foot in the game against the Blues in St. Louis Monday night. He tried to skate afterwards, but just couldn't do it. He ended up leaving the game with the injury, missing a majority of the second period and all of the third period.

On Tuesday, the Wild said Parise could miss two to three weeks.

"I thought it felt good enough to try for pre-game skate," Parise said Wednesday. "I was hoping to give it a shot."

"I don't like to put a timeline on things. I'll play when I'm ready."

"It shows what kind of guy he is," Yeo said. "He's an unbelievable competitor."

The Wild are 15-6-4 and coming off a loss at St. Louis on Monday.
