Students at the University of Minnesota College of Science and Engineering will display a high-tech light show the next two weekends.
The show, tilted "Illumination," will feature more than 100,000 LED lights, 400 individual controllable lights and 450 microcontrollers.
Lights, synchronized to music, will be displayed around the Civil Engineering Plaza and a 22-foot lighted tree will be lit up. The show is composed and preformed by students of the College of Science and Engineering.
The CSE Winter Light Show Premier event begins Friday with shows from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m., each one lasting about 15 minutes.
A party will begin before the show at 4:30 p.m. at Rapson Hall. The show is sponsored by CenterPoint Energy and the University of Minnesota College of Science and Engineering.
