Hundreds of Minnesotans gathered at the Mall of America Sunday morning for a walk, rally and mass to show support for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
The event was sponsored by the Fil-Minnesotan Association and raised nearly $10,000 which will be used for food and relief supplies.
"There's a connection here. There's a big Filipino population in Minnesota and some of us are from the islands affected," said David Ong, president of the Fil-Minnesotan Association.
