Man Dies After Report of Shots Fired in South Minneapolis

A man is dead after Minneapolis police responded to a report of shots fired Wednesday morning.

Officers were called to the 2600 block of Pleasant Avenue South around 12:50 a.m., and found a man lying in the street with an apparent gunshot wound.

The man was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where he died, according to police.

The victim has not been identified. No arrests have been made. There is no suspect information at this time.
