Firefighters worked to battle two house fires in Burnsville Sunday afternoon.

Crews responded to a fire on 27th Avenue South at 3:35 p.m. and responded to another fire on Circle Drive at 3:43 p.m. The homes are located within five miles of each other.

KSTP spoke with the homeowner of the house on 27th Avenue who said she was inside her home with her family when they heard a popping noise from the garage. The house was fully engulfed in flames moments later, moving from the garage area to the back of the house.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire, but the house appeared to be destroyed.

The home on Circle Drive was also destroyed. No one was home at the time of the fire.

At this point, it appears no one was injured in either fire.
