The St. Paul man severely beaten by a group of teenagers had a setback in his recovery.
Ray Widstrand's family posted on CaringBridge that he was rushed to the emergency room Monday morning for a four-hour surgery to relieve pressure in his head.
According to Widstrand's mother, the surgery went well and he is resting.
Back in August Widstrand was walking through his St. Paul neighborhood and came upon a gang fight.
He was nearly beaten to death as he tried to get past.
