The weekend is nearly upon us and there are plenty of events happening in the Twin Cities. Bradley Traynor from MY TALK 107.1 joined Rusty Gatenby in-studio to talk about some of the highlights. This weekend: two unique presentations of "The Nutcracker" and an Ugly Sweater Crawl.

The Metropolitan Ballet will present "The Nutcracker" twice this holiday season. The shows are at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Ted Mann Concert Hall that features a full symphony. Tickets range from $19 to $59.

A twist on the classic "Nutcracker" comes to life with the Ballet of the Dolls presentation of "Nutcracker: Not So Suite" The show is at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Ritz Theater in Minneapolis. The play is set in 1970s New York City, and instead of a nutcracker, Marie finds a Ken-barbie doll.

If you're looking to wear that ugly sweater one more time before the New Year, join other holiday enthusiasts for the Ugly Sweater Crawl in Minneapolis on Saturday. Proceeds will benefit Toys for Tots, and for those who bring a toy to donate, a ticket is free.
