The ticketing lobby in Terminal 2 at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport reopened Friday morning after it was briefly closed due to a suspicious package.

Airport officials say a woman came into Terminal 2 to board a flight and had a package that was not permitted to go through the security process. Inside the box was a propane tank with pipes sticking out of the top.

The woman left the package unattended just outside a Travel Express shop in Terminal 2 next to the Sun Country check-in.

The Bloomington bomb squad was called in to check on the package, which was determined not to be a hazard, according to airport officials.

The woman boarded her Southwest plane, but was taken off to be questioned. It is believed she wanted to check the package and did not mean any harm by leaving it behind, officials said.

Flights leaving from Terminal 2 were delayed throughout the morning and were mostly Southwest and Sun Country flights. Terminal 1 flights were unaffected by the incident.
