The weekend is nearly upon us and there are plenty of events happening in the Twin Cities. Bradley Traynor from MY TALK 107.1 joined Rusty Gatenby in-studio to talk about some of the highlights. This weekend: a Dog show, a Mayan exhibit and Speakeasy Saturday.
Dog lovers can see more than 2,000 purebred dogs on display Friday through Sunday at the 2014 Land O’Lakes Kennel Club Dog show at the St. Paul RiverCentre. Tickets are $8.50 for adults, $4.50 for kids and $20 for a family 4-pack. There will also be more than 70 vendors at the event.
This weekend is the last chance to see the popular Maya: Hidden Worlds Revealed exhibit at the Science Museum of Minnesota before it leaves on Sunday. In addition to the actual exhibit, visitors can see a movie on the ancient civilization in the Omnitheater.
Try some of Minnesota’s craft beers at Speakeasy Saturday hosted by the Minnesota History Center. This Saturday, $5 will buy a ticket to sample from Great Waters Brewing. The History Center will feature several other craft brewers and distillers throughout January and February.
Jan. 14 will showcase Dashfire Bitters and Feb. 15 is set for Summit Brewing sampling.
