Crews have pulled a third body from the Mississippi River in downtown Winona while searching for victims of an SUV crash into the icy waterway this weekend.

Winona County Sheriff Dave Brand says the body was recovered about 1:30 p.m. Monday. Brand says sonar located the body of a man in the same area where the SUV plunged into the river early Sunday.

An underwater robotic device was also brought in to help search for a fourth missing man authorities believe was also in the vehicle when it went off a street and through a guard rail. They were seen leaving a tavern with 30-year-old Mathew Erickson, of Chatfield, and 36-year-old Christina Lee Hauser, of Winona.

Erickson and Hauser's bodies were found in the vehicle after it was pulled from the water Sunday. KAGE radio reports one of the vehicle's back windows had been broken out, causing authorities to believe both men may have exited the vehicle while underwater.

KAGE Radio reports the sheriff says the search for the second man is continuing.
