A St. Paul artist’s work has been chosen to be the 2014 Minnesota State Fair Commemorative Art.
Emily Taylor was selected from more than 154 artists to create the official artwork for the Great Minnesota Get Together. The work will be unveiled at the state fairgrounds in June.
Taylor has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and is now a professional artist and teacher.
The work represents the chosen artist’s visual interpretation of the Great Minnesota Get Together. Last year, Minneapolis resident Marie Olofsdotter was chosen from nearly 30 applicants.
Prints of the artwork will be for sale after the June unveiling, with proceeds benefiting the Minnesota State Fair Foundation.
