Empty shelves at local liquor stores are due to the cold snap.

KSTP stopped by Selby Wine and Spirits in St. Paul. Because of the the cold temperatures, the store's products didn't get delivered Tuesday.

The owner, Vernon Crowe, tells KSTP he's already out of a number of types of beer. He's disappointed he didn't get the shipment, but understands why it didn't happen.

"They're afraid of beer freezing on the trucks, glass, it would be miserable," he said.

Crowe says he doesn't know when the next shipment will be delivered.
