I am a fan of Shout Factory’s Marvel Knights series because it is so entertaining and exciting in my opinion.  The stories are very dark, and it’s like watching a live action comic book.

I just love the animation because it is so unique and absolutely amazing.  The animations are beautifully—and also crudely—drawn. Most of the backgrounds and characters are stationary, and there is little movement that takes place, so it is like looking at the panels of a comic book in a way.

This past week I got the opportunity to watch a review copy of Shout Factory’s “Marvel Knights: Wolverine versus Sabretooth.”  This is such an awesome, movie and it is a must-have for any fan of Wolverine, Sabretooth and Marvel Comics.

I do need to mention right away that “Wolverine versus Sabretooth” is not rated and is not for young kids.  It is geared toward an adult audience because there is a lot of graphic violence, blood, strong language and some adult situations.

The story is written by Jeph Loeb(Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and illustrated by Simone Bianchi(Astonishing X-Men) and I think it’s great.

Both Wolverine and Sabretooth have a unique power where they can regenerate, and they have been fighting each other for many years.  Wolverine has always hated Sabertooth and wanted to get his revenge because Sabretooth killed his girlfriend.  Now Wolverine has caught up with Sabretooth, who is living in the X-men’s mansion, and the two will fight in one of the most action-packed and deadliest battles yet.

I really enjoyed the story a lot and thought that it was very exciting and entertaining.  The story is broken up into six chapters that are about 11 minutes long.  You can choose to watch all six chapters at once, or you can watch each one separately.

There is also a special feature on the DVD that is called “What I Am: A Look Back at Wolverine versus Sabretooth.”  This is very interesting because it has interviews with Jeph Loeb and Simone Bianchi.  They tell the story behind the film and talk about the production of it.  There are tons of illustrations that are shown that are really cool to see.

I really enjoyed Shout Factory’s “Marvel Knights: Wolverine versus Sabretooth” a lot.  I just loved the animation because it was so unique, very detailed and very graphic.  I just thought the story was very exciting, and it kept my interest, because I wanted to see who was going to win.  Like I mentioned earlier, I know that fans of Marvel comics, Wolverine and Sabretooth are really going to enjoy this film as much as I did.
