LIST: Valentine's Day Events Where You Live

Valentine's Day is on a Friday this year, which means there are plenty of events lined up throughout the Twin Cities Metro area. Here are some highlights:
Spread love to those in need at a special Feed My Starving Children meal packing event called "Hearts for Hope." Spend Valentine's day evening (7 p.m. to 9 p.m.) at the Coon Rapids site packing more than 214 meals for $50. You'll also get to enjoy a photo booth, music and a free rose. Sign up online.
The Minnesota Zoo "Love Tour" takes place Friday, Feb. 14, with tours starting at 5:45 p.m. The event costs $180 per couple and includes the tour, appetizers and dinner. Proceeds benefit the Minnesota Zoo's Conservation Programs. Register here.
The Como Zoo is hosting a dinner in the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory in three featured gardens. Live musicians will play as a gourmet dinner is served. Dinners are scheduled from Feb. 14-15. It costs $165 per couple. Register here.
The Metropolitan Ballet will perform Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" in the Hopkins High School Auditorium. Performances are Feb. 14-16 and cost $19-$59. Find tickets here.
Triple Espresso is a comedy show that's perfect for ages 6-106. It runs Feb. 12-16 at the Music Box Theater. Buy tickets here.
Pat Hazell and Karen Morgan will star in "He Said, She Said: A Valentine’s Night of Comedy." Tickets cost $22 for adults and $11 for students. The performance is at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14. Find ticket information.
The play Five Course Love will run from Jan. 24 to Feb. 16. Tickets can be purchased at the New Century Theatre Box Office at 615 Hennepin Ave., by calling 612-455-9501, or online here.
Free carriage rides along the St. Croix River will be offered Feb. 14-16. Discounts on stores and restaurants are also available around that time. Find more information here.
