It is common for parents to bring their children to restaurants; however, a case of a crying baby at a three-star restaurant has sparked a debate.

A couple brought their eight-month-old child to Alinea in Chicago on Saturday. Diners there pay $250 just to get on a waiting list and hundreds more for a meal.

But during dinner, the baby wouldn't stop crying.

Chef Grant Achatz didn't ask the couple to leave, but he did take to twitter to vent.

Twitter erupted with feedback and many followers said babies do not belong in high-end restaurants.

The chef says he still hasn't decided whether he'll ban children from his restaurant.
