Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson underwent a successful groin surgery Thursday, the team said. Peterson saw Dr. William Meyers at the Vincera Institute in Philadelphia to repair his adductor muscle and perform a compartmental release.
Peterson, who recently announced he would miss the Pro Bowl in order to heal, is expected to make a full recovery in six weeks.
Meyers also performed Peterson's sports hernia surgery last offseason.
